Croton police are investigating a series of calls they got from seven people (and counting) who claim their cars were entered and rifled through overnight on Nov 20-21.
Det. Paul Camillieri said all of the cars had been left unlocked, either in driveways or in the street, and most had only been rifled through with nothing stolen. Police found no damages on cars from any break-ins.
However, the sum total of the losses includes: a wallet, cash, credit cards, driver's license, and a GPS.
"Lock your cars at night," Camillieri urged everyone about how to avoid this crime of convenience. Or at least remove your valuables.
All the streets this happened on were generally in the Harmon area of the village.
Two cars were on the 90 block of Hastings Avenue, with one car on each of these streets: the 20 block of Morningside Drive, the 40 block of Olcott Avenue, the 50 block of Sunset Drive, the 10 black of Radner Avenue, and the 10 block of Observatory Drive.
