Croton-Harmon Schools Launch ‘Connect with Croton!’ Social Media Campaign
Parents, students, and community members are invited to join the schools' conversation.

The Croton-Harmon School District is pleased to announce the launch of its 2016-17 Connect with Croton! social media campaign, an initiative to help engage district stakeholders in district news and events in a timely manner all-year-round.
During the 2015-16 school year, the district introduced both a Facebook page and Twitter account to improve the availability and timeliness of district information for students, parents and all community members.

“Our social media presence has expanded greatly during the 2015-16 year and we are thrilled to be launching a campaign to engage even more members of our community in the year to come,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edward R. Fuhrman, Jr. “The Connect with Croton! campaign will not only enhance the ways the Croton-Harmon Schools share information, but seek input as to what our followers want to see and hear from us on a day-to-day basis. Furthermore, this campaign will allow us to engage further with the community in real time.”
In addition to utilizing Facebook and Twitter to share pertinent information related to school events and emergencies, over the coming months, Connect with Croton! outreach will encourage members of the community to provide feedback about the district’s use of social media and participate in fun contests using timely hashtags on Twitter. Students will also be actively involved in the campaign, which ties in with the district focus on digital citizenship.
