Croton-Harmon Schools to Make Up ‘Sandy’ Days in the Spring

Croton-Harmon school officials don’t anticipate any major difficulties caused by school days lost in October during Sandy.

Schools will be open April 2, May 24 and June 24 to make up for days lost during the storm. If additional snows days are needed, they will be made up on March 25, March 27 and March 28.

Terry Gilberti, a spokesman for the school district, said the district had five extra days built into its schedule to prepare for emergency closures.

“Basically, they’re going shift those days and open school as needed when they move forward this school year,” Gilberti said.
