Croton-on-Hudson Resident Named to Hudson Valley Community College Dean's List

Svetlana Picarella is in the school's Computer Information Systems academic program.

Svetlana Picarelli of Croton-on-Hudson was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2016 term at Hudson Valley Community College.

Each fall and spring term, the college's Deans' List honors those students who have a term grade-point average between 3.0 and 3.5.

Picarelli is in the Computer Information Systems academic program at the Troy, N.Y. college.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in four schools (Business, Engineering and Industrial Technologies, Health Sciences and Liberal Arts and Sciences) as well as workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 12,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
