1) Good news: The Croton-Harmon Education Foundation recently announced a total of over $120,000 in grants were awarded during the 2012-2013 School Year. See where the money goes in this post.
2) In response to a trio of letters in the Gazette attacking the current Croton board and the recent election outcomes, John McBride writes on Patch: "The voters in the village have again given the Democratic mayor and trustees an overwhelming vote of confidence... I do believe that Democrats have better ideas. We believe that government can be a positive force to move the community forward. I also believe we could benefit from other rational, fact based and respectful voices. There is room within the Democratic party for those voices..." What do you think?
