Have You Seen a Green Ford Explorer?, and Other CPD News
A summary of recent police activity and arrests in the village of Croton-on-Hudson.

Batty!
A Garry Road reported to Croton police on Nov. 21 at 8:30 p.m. that they had a bat in their house.
Police got there and caught it and sent it off for quarantine and testing at the county Department of Health.
"Whenever you have a bat in the house, you have to do that," Det. Paul Camillieri said. The bats get tested at the DOH for rabies even if no one in the home got bit or scratched.
Want to Buy Medical Equipment?
A Croton resident told police they believed they had received a scam phone call.
The caller on Nov. 23 tried to sell the resident medical equipment and was asking for personal information. The caller reported them instead of sharing anything.
Stolen Car or Long Borrow?
A Grand Street resident reported her car stolen to police on Nov. 23 at 6:15 p.m.
She had lent her 1997 green Ford Explorer with license plate GGY2779 to someone and it hadn't been returned.
Police are considering this unauthorized use and are investigating it as a grand larceny case, Det. Camillieri said.
