Hudson Valley Young Professionals Launch Party

Croton & Ossining business people, do you know about the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce's new branch?

The Hudson Valley Young Professionals northern Westchester chapter is holding a launch party on Thursday, March 29 at The Cove Restaurant in Peekskill.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m. with a press conference and ribbon cutting and continues with complimentary passed hor d'ouevres and a cash bar. 

The HVYP is a branch of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce for young professionals under the age of 40. Hudson Valley professionals can join for a one time fee of $50 and if their company or organization already belongs to the Chamber then memebership is free.

The HVYP has since grown to over 700 members within the Hudson Valley Region. The orgranization originated with the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and as of January 2012, has partnered with the to continue the brand and mission into Westchester and Putnam counties.

The structure allows for Chamber support of young professionals within the community with educational forums, training sessions, social networking events, and community involvement opportunities - to provide the tools to develop personal and leadership skills in a professional environment. The more informed, involved and well networked young professionals are, the likelier they are to stay in the Hudson Valley and have more influence on what the region becomes.
