Mearl Demolition Almost Complete
The giant cranes are scooping up debris from the old buildings to clear the site for construction.
Morning commuters are able to watch a few seconds of the demolition job going on now on North Highland Avenue.
In the next two years, luxury apartments will take the place of the old Mearl/Engelhart/BASF office-and-labs.
And, if you crane your neck (from the passenger seat!) now you can just see the top of the Kane Mansion. The historic property will become the clubhouse for Avalon at Ossining.
