Ossining & Croton New Year's Resolutions
Patch asked a number of Ossining & Croton's movers and shakers about their New Year's resolutions.

You can't get through New Year's Eve without at least thinking about new year's resolutions—because the new year is undeniably a mile marker and a chance to begin anew.
Patch asked a number of Ossining & Croton's movers and shakers about their New Year's resolutions. Here's what they had to say:
County Legislator-Elect Catherine Borgia: "My resolution for 2012 is to not use my phone at all when I am driving—not even using hands-free device or speaker. The recent reports about distracted driving have made an impact on my thinking. Plus, my older daughter is learning to drive, and I want to set a good example. So, please leave me a message—I'll call you back once I'm off the road!"

Ossining Village Manager Richard Leins: "To take time to appreciate all the blessings we experience and to be of even greater service to the extended community in which we live."
Ossining Councilman Peter Tripodi: "My resolution is to lower my cholesterol through exercise and diet, not pills."

Former Ossining Mayor Miguel Hernandez: "My goal for 2012 is to try complete a pilgrimage from Barcelona, to Santiago de Campostela, across Northern Spain. I have put this spiritual trek off a number of times, but this is the year it will finally happen."
Croton-on-Hudson Trustee Ann Gallelli: My New Year's resolution is to keep myself open to new challenges and opportunities and to keep healthy and fit so I can take advantage of them.
Ossining Village Trustee-Elect Bob Daraio: "My resolution is to listen more, laugh more, forgive more, walk more, argue less, eat less, and work smarter, enjoy my family and friends more.
Trustee Elect Daraio also added that his favorite quote about New Year's Resolutions is from Mark Twain: “New Year’s Day – Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can being paving hell with them as usual.”
