Ossining & Dobbs Ferry Women Gear Up for NYC to DC Bike Ride

Sharon Rowe of Ossining and Sarah Cashen of Dobbs Ferry will be riding their bikes from NYC to DC, along with 198 other riders, as part of the 2012 Climate Ride. They will ride the 300 miles over the period of a number of days. Information on the ride can be found here

"We're raising as much money as possible. We think we can get to $1 million total across all riders... and we're engaging in conversations around climate change all the time," said Rowe.

The money raised goes to organizations like 1% for the Planet, Change.org and Green America — organizations that educate and lobby around Climate Change issues.
