Ossining Resident Wins Empire State Diversity Honors Scholarship

Katelyn Z. Zhinin of Ossining has won one of 11 Empire State Diversity Honors Scholarships this year at State University of New York at Oswego.

She is a senior majoring in psychology and public justice at Oswego.

This SUNY-sponsored program of direct aid seeks to attract and retain undergraduate students to SUNY campuses who have demonstrated high academic achievement and can demonstrate that they will contribute to the diversity of the student body.

Admission to SUNY Oswego is competitive. U.S. News Media Group counts SUNY Oswego among the top public regional universities in the North for 2016, and the Princeton Review includes Oswego in its 2016 college guidebook "The Best Northeastern Colleges" and in its national list of "Green Colleges."
