Saying Goodbye to Croton's Kenneth Maylath
Friends, family and radio listeners are saying a final farewell to Croton-Harmon High graduate and broadcasting legend Kenneth Allen Maylath.

People in Croton-on-Hudson are remembering Kenneth Allen Maylath. The Baltimore broadcasting legend graduated from Croton-Harmon High School back in 1954. After college he worked at a number of stations across the country before settling in Maryland. Maylath worked at Baltimore's WFBR Radio from the early 60s up until 1988 when the station was sold. He then finished out his career at Baltimore's WCMB Radio—working there until 2008.
Maylath had always been a railroading aficionado. The Baltimore Sun recently reported that his love for railroading started when he lived in Croton-on-Hudson—growing up next to the New York Central Railroad.
Maylath's funeral services will be held at Hiss United Methodist Church in Baltimore at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
