Should Indian Point Be Shut Down?
There was a hearing on Indian Point in Albany yesterday—just one day after one of the plant's reactors had to be shut down.

Yesterday two New York Assembly committees held a hearing to look at the impact of closing Indian Point. They also examined what a closure would mean for our economy and electricity generation. Lawmakers also analyzed possible alternatives to Indian Point.
The hearing comes one day after one of the power plant's reactors had to be shut down. The problem was due to a pump that was leaking radioactive water.
