Suspected Chicken Pox Case at Croton's PVC School

School district officials have sent out an alert regarding chicken pox at PVC Middle School in Croton-on-Hudson.

A warning about a suspected case of chicken pox has been emailed out to parents whose children attend the Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School. Here is what the Croton-Harmon School District's spokesperson is saying about the email alert:

The district has become aware of a suspected case of Chickenpox at the school and we want all PVC parents to monitor their children for the warning signs detailed in the K-12 alert. It was important to alert parents due to the contagious nature of the  virus. As indicated in the alert, all PVC parents are welcome to contact the school nurse and are encouraged to contact their child’s healthcare provider in the event they believe their child is experiencing any symptoms.
