
Identity Theft
A resident of Morningside Drive reported to Westchester County Police on Monday, July 8 at 8:10 p.m. that she believed she was the victim of identity theft. The case was referred to detectives.
Elderly Man Falls at Maryknoll
Westchester County Police assisted a 76-year-old man who was injured in a fall at Maryknoll on Ryder Road on Tuesday, July 9 at 9:08 a.m. The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded.
Unruly Youth
A lifeguard at Engel Park reported that he was having difficulty with an unruly youth on July 9 at 3:40 p.m. Westchester County Police responded and advised the teen that he would have to observe the park’s rules or be ejected from the grounds.
Speeding, Unlicensed
A 43-year-old man from Yonkers was arrested on Friday, July 12 at 2:46 p.m. on a charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2 at Route 9A at Stormytown Road. Westchester County Police Officer Donald Palmer was conducting speed enforcement on the southbound side of Route 9A when he clocked a vehicle on radar traveling 70 mph in a 40 mph zone. The driver produced a Georgia driver’s license that was found to be suspended in New York for failure to pay or answer nine previous summonses.
The man was taken into custody on the misdemeanor charge and was also issued a summons for speeding. He was booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne and released on $100 bail pending a July 23 appearance in Ossining Town Court.
Loud Music Complaint
Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Gordon Avenue on a complaint about loud music on Sunday, July 14 at 12:56 a.m. The people at the residence agreed to lower the volume.
Car Fire
Westchester County Police responded to Samstag Avenue on a report of a car fire on July 14 at 1:18 p.m. The Ossining Volunteer Fire Department also responded and extinguished the blaze. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
