Silver Alert Issued for Disabled Teen Last Seen in Syosset
Shakeem Smith, 15, is a mentally disabled black male, 5'3", 122 pounds. He was last seen leaving Mercy First residential facility on foot Sunday.
A Silver Alert has been issued by the Nassau County Police Department for a mentally handicapped 15-year-old who went missing from Mercy First Residential Facility in Syosset on Sunday.
Shakeem Smith, 15, was last seen leaving the facility at 525 Convent Rd, Syosset on foot Sunday at 3:21 p.m. He is described as African American, 5'3", 122 pounds. He has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old, according to the alert, and takes medications (Abilify and Depicot) for mood swings.
It is unknown what he was wearing at the time he left Mercy First.
