Area Firefighters Battle Blaze At North Bellport Home

Arson Squad detectives believe the fire started from the use of a heat gun to remove paint, police said.

NORTH BELLPORT, NY — A fire broke out at a North Bellport home on Thursday afternoon, drawing area firefighters, Suffolk police said.

The fire started at the Fuoco Road home at around 1:37 p.m., and all of the residents were able to get out of the house safely, according to police.

Arson Squad detectives believe the fire started after a man was using a heat gun to remove paint in the house, police said.
