Bellport Man Pleads Guilty To Drug, Weapon Charges: DA
A search found cocaine, digital scales, drug packing material, cash, and a loaded .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol, DA says.
RIVERSIDE, NY — A Bellport man pleaded guilty to numerous weapons and drug charges shortly before opening arguments in his trial were about to begin, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said Thursday.
A search warrant of a home frequented by Levoughn McKinnie back in January found cocaine, two digital scales, drug packaging material, cash, and a loaded .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol, prosecutors said.
McKinnie, 36, pleaded guilty to second-and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, as well as fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, according to prosecutors.

He has two prior felony convictions including third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled
substance from 2008, and second-degree attempted assault from 2005, prosecutors said.
“We will continue to go after those who continue to flood our streets with dangerous drugs and
illegal deadly weapons,” Tierney said. “Illicit drugs destroy lives, and illegal weapons threaten the safety of our Suffolk County residents.”
