Better Than Ezra, Howie Day To Perform On Long Island

Known for "Good," the band was named to Billboard's 100 Greatest Alternative Artists Of All Time. Day is known for "Collide" and "She Says."

PATCHOGUE, NY — Better Than Ezra and Howie Day will perform on Nov. 4 at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, according to promotional material.

Formed in 1988 at Louisiana State University, the New Orleans native band includes Kevin Griffin on lead vocals, guitar, piano, and Tom Drummond on bass and backing vocals. The band is best known for tunes like “Good," which hit number one in 1995, and they have been named to the “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time” list by Billboard.

The band released their last single, “Grateful,” in 2018 and it's members are currently in the studio working on some new tunes.

Day, a Bangor, Maine, native who is best known for songs like, "Collide" and "She Says," has sold more than a million records and has had two Top-10 hits. Day, who now lives in Seattle, is back on the road to support his new album, "Lanterns."
