Business Owner Scammed North Bellport Man For Nearly $4K In Repair Job: Police
He agreed to a payment up front and never finished the job, Suffolk police said.
NORTH BELLPORT, NY — A Brentwood man who charged a North Bellport man for home repairs and never finished the job was rounded up in a traffic stop on Tuesday, Suffolk police said.
A North Bellport man told police last week that in October, he hired Francis Warner, of
Warner Brothers Air Max HVAC, to do work on his home, and Warner, who owns the company,
agreed to a cash payment of $3,850 and never returned to complete the work, according to police.
Warner, 41, was arrested during a traffic stop in Brentwood at 11 a.m., and detectives charged him with third-degree grand larceny, police said.
