Councilman Neil Foley Appointed Deputy Supervisor Of Brookhaven Town
He looks forward to working with the town board "to maintain current policies that improve the quality-of-life for all residents.

BLUE POINT, NY — Councilman Neil Foley has been tapped to serve as deputy supervisor for the Town of Brookhaven, Supervisor Dan Panico said.
Foley, a Blue Point native, was elected to Council District 5 in 2014, replacing former councilman and current Suffolk County justice, Tim Mazzei.
In his nine years on the board, Foley has preserved over 100 acres of open space properties and helped to develop the Overlay District and Patchogue redevelopment plans, as well as spearheaded the renovation of 15 parks in his district.

He has also been instrumental in the demolition of 24 zombie houses in his district.
Foley thanked Panico for giving him the opportunity.

"I look forward to working with him and my colleagues on the town board to maintain the current policies that improve the quality of life for all residents," he said. "It is an honor to serve on the Town Board, and I am excited about my new role as deputy supervisor."
As a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, Foley "helped shape the character of the town and ensure development was done so in a responsible manner," Panico said.
"Deputy Supervisor Foley also demonstrates a strong commitment to charitable causes by actively supporting organizations like the National Association of Mental Illness and The American Cancer Society," he said.
Foley has earned numerous merit awards recognizing his outstanding sales achievements, and
exceptional leadership.
He is married with four children, and is a member of the Patchogue Elks organization, serves on the board of the Patchogue Medford Youth Council, and as vice president of the Bayport-Blue Point Little League.
