PATCHOGUE, NY — "Succession" star Alan Ruck will host an evening with a screening of the 80s classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, according to theater promotion.
The Emmy-nominated Ruck played Cameron Frye, the best friend of the movie's namesake. In the 1986 film, Bueller, Frye, and his girlfriend, Sloan Peterson, skip school and go on a jaunt in Chicago.
He originated the role of Don Carney in Neil Simon’s “Biloxi Blues” on Broadway and when director John Hughes came to see his co-star, Matthew Broderick, he ended up with his role in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
