Fired Worker Assaults Ex-Boss' Son In Front Of Grandson On LI: Police

It happened when he went to the man's house to confront him on Christmas Day, Nassau police said.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — An apparently disgruntled worker kicked in the door of his former employer's home and assaulted his son in front of his seven-year-old grandson and elderly mother at his New Hyde Park home on Christmas, Nassau police said.

Kar Toong went to a Robby Lane home at around 4:16 p.m. on Monday to confront his former employer about being terminated and was yelling and cursing when the man's son, 48, and grandson, 7, opened the front door to question the man’s conduct, according to police.

Toong kicked the door, forcibly went inside the house, and began to strike the man with a closed fist, and the boy’s grandmother, 74, tried to intervene, injuring her left hand, police said, adding that he was forced out of the home and proceeded to kick the passenger door of a 2014 Toyota
Sienna.
