Man Arrested After Robbing Patchogue Bank: Police

The 26-year-old was arrested soon after the robbery Saturday afternoon, police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY – A 26-year-old man was arrested after he robbed a bank in Patchogue Saturday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, Jawan Davenport entered the TD Bank located at 251 East Main St. at about 1:15 p.m., approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash.

The teller complied and Davenport fled in a silver Nissan Sentra, police said.

Fifth Precinct officers responded and officer Bryan Lawrence located and arrested Davenport a short time later, police said.

Davenport, of, Bellport was charged with third degree robbery. He will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
