NORTH BELLPORT, NY — A Brooklyn man was arrested Thursday after Suffolk police said he assaulted and injured two pedestrians — one seriously — with his vehicle in North Bellport in June.
Josef McLorrain, 22, was driving a vehicle when he struck two pedestrians in the parking lot of Eastern Suffolk BOCES, at 350 Martha Avenue, around 8:35 a.m. June 24, police said. He then drove away, police said.
One of the pedestrians, Jawan Harrison, 31, of Coram, was transported to Long Island Community
Hospital in Patchogue for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said. The second pedestrian, Natalie Williams, 41, of Ronkonkoma, was taken to the same hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening, police said. Both are employees of Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
