  1. 'Fall into Winter' exhibit at the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts is still open. The exhibit displays the work of artist Shain Bard and will be open for visitors until Jan. 30. Bard expresses her love for the fall season by painting landscapes using autumn colors and lavender hues of winter. Check theater times to view the exhibit. (Patchogue Chamber of Commerce)
  2. The Garden Farmers Market is happening every Saturday and Sunday at 67 Avery Ave., Patchogue from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Over 25 different vendors are selling farm goodies and crafts in a heated greenhouse every weekend until April 26. (LI Events)
  3. One person died early Sunday morning during a crash on the Long Island Expressway. It happened around 12:35 a.m. on the LIE near exit 65. The driver and passenger were both taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where the driver was pronounced dead, and the passenger was treated for injuries. No criminality is found at this time. (Newsbreak)
  4. New York State Gov. Kathy Hochul presented nine key points as part of her plan for a New Era for New York. During the speech, she shared her plan to rebuild the state's health care economy, improve the public safety and how to subside the gun violence issue. (TBRnews)
  5. Town of Brookhaven Annual coat drive started on Monday, Jan. 10 and will run through Feb. 11. If you would like to donate gently used coats, scarves and hats, click on the link to see drop off locations. (LongIsland.com)
