  1. Patchogue's restaurants and bars are joining forces to help Ukraine. The fundraiser event will raise profits to help to feed refugees on March 23 from 5-9 p.m. at the Blue Point Brewery. The event is being organized by the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce. (Patch)
  2. Patchogue's Village board elections took place on Tuesday and four incumbents were re-elected. "Susan Henke Brinkman, Joseph Keyes, and Patrick McHeffey were re-elected to four-year terms. Keyes took the top amount of votes at 391, followed by McHeffey with 384 votes, and Brinkman with 370 votes." Click here to check the full election results. (Patch)

Nonprofit Paws of War, located in Nesconset, is helping to rescue "Musket," a therapy dog overseas back to the U.S. Musket is a loving dog rescued overseas and the first dog to be part of an innovative program to help United States troops stationed. The program uses rescued dogs as therapy dogs to help soldiers to cope with emotional issues. Now, Musket's work is done and the nonprofit aims to bring him to the U.S. so he can continue his work as a therapy dog. (Patch)

  • A Rocky Point man was charged with drunken driving after crashing twice while driving in the wrong direction in traffic on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said. Seventh Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of Route 25A in East Shoreham at about 8:40 p.m., said police, adding that John Madden was driving a 2006 Jeep SUV the wrong way on Route 25A and struck a 2020 Subaru being driven eastbound by Olivia Demmer at about 8:42 p.m." (Patch)
  • "After an almost two-year hiatus, the Great South Bay Music Festival, presented by Blue Point Brewing Co., has announced that they are back and bigger than ever. The four-day music and arts festival is set to return to the picturesque waterfront at Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village from Thursday, July 7 through Sunday, July 10." (Broadway World)
