- Long Island Community Hospital and NYU Langone Health are now affiliates. Long Island Community Hospital and NYU Langone Health announced that the affiliation between the two organizations is now official after receiving state and federal regulatory approvals. This affiliation extends NYU Langone’s health care network into eastern Long Island and gives access to resources and technologies for better care of more than 400,00 patients treated by the Patchogue Long Island Community Hospital. - Save the date for Family Fun Fest hosted by the Grace Gospel Church in Patchogue! The church invites the community to join them for Family Fun Fest! Free games, prizes, food and so much more! The event will happen on May 1 from 12:30- 3 p.m. at 215 Falcon Ave. (Patch)
- Patchogue-Medford Library features Carnegie Choralists workshop. Come to the library to learn something new in the music industry on March 10 from 4-5:30 p.m. The class will offer personalized vocal lessons. Register here. (Patchogue CofC)
- Some Sayville residents say they're in disagreement with plans to bring a drive-thru Starbucks to their neighborhood. On March 10, the Town of Islip will decide if a bank building on Montauk Highway will be turned into a Starbucks with a drive-thru. However, some in the community say the drive-thru will cause too much traffic on Montauk Highway and nearby roads and will change the character of the area. (News 12 Long Island)
- Nearby News: The Fire Island ferry service to Ocean Beach was suspended on March 8. The Village and Fire Island ferries did not reach a new agreement and now passengers will need to head for Ocean Beach to arrive and depart from Seaview. There's no word on when all of the ferry services could come back. (News12)
