  1. A teen stabbed someone and stole drugs in a robbery incident on Bellport Avenue on March 16. The stabbed victim was transported to Long Island Community Hospital located in East Patchogue to be treated. Patchogue police confirmed on March 30 that the teen has been charged with first-degree robbery and assault. (Patch)
  2. Attorney Steven Bertolino, who represents Brian Laundrie's family, presented a motion to a judge in Florida to drop Gabby Petito's family lawsuit. According to Bertolino, the lawsuit is "frivolous" and there's no evidence that the Laundrie family knew that Brian Laundrie was going to commit the crime. (Patch)
  3. Patchogue nonprofit Paws Unite People received an award as recognition for its work for the benefit of the Long Island community. The Jaspan Schlesinger Heart of Community Awards is being given as part of the celebration of the law firm's 75th Anniversary, according to a press release. (Press Release Desk)

  5. Nearby News: Bellport motorcyclist died after a collision. The accident happened last Saturday and claimed the life of Daniel Cardona, 51, who was traveling east on Horseblock Road on a 2002 Suzuki shortly before 10:30 p.m. when he collided with a 2007 Chrysler. Cardona was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
