1. Nearby News: A pedestrian was hit by a car in Medford. A man was fatally struck by a Honda on Tuesday night at the intersection of North Ocean and Masonic avenues. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at Patchogue Long Island Community Hospital, police said in a statement. Two of the Honda's passengers were taken for treatment of minor injuries; the driver, Daniel Avila-Canales, 26, of Medford, was not injured in the collision. The accident is under investigation. 2. A Victorian tea house will open in Blue Point at the end of January. The Mad Batter Tea Room will open at the corner of Montauk Highway and Homan Avenue. Owner Delia Mckernan has over 14 years of experience as a tea master and event planner. (suffolkcountynews.net)
3. Bible Church in Blue Point rang its bells for 34 minutes on Wednesday to honor the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.
