  1. Nearby News: A pedestrian was hit by a car in Medford. A man was fatally struck by a Honda on Tuesday night at the intersection of North Ocean and Masonic avenues. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at Patchogue Long Island Community Hospital, police said in a statement. Two of the Honda's passengers were taken for treatment of minor injuries; the driver, Daniel Avila-Canales, 26, of Medford, was not injured in the collision. The accident is under investigation.   3. Bible Church in Blue Point rang its bells for 34 minutes on Wednesday to honor the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.
