Patchogue Woman Seriously Injured in Car Crash

Cecily Dones taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of injuries.

A Patchogue woman was seriously injured this morning in automobile accident in Brookhaven.

According to Suffolk County police, Cecily Dones of Patchogue was traveling southbound on Victory Ave. at the intersection of Horseblock Rd. when her 2008 Hyundai sedan collided with a 2004 Nissan sedan driven by Patrick Manning. Police said Manning was traveling westbound on Horseblock Rd. at the time of the accident.

Dones, 23, of Patchogue was transported via police helicopter to Stony Brook University Medical Center where she was admitted for treatment of multiple injuries.

Manning, 22, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was treated and released.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and police said their investigation is continuing.
