Registration Now Open For 2019 Suffolk Police Test

The test for police officer candidates will be given in June for the first time in four years. Find out how to register.

Want to be a Suffolk County Police officer? Registration is now open for the 2019 Suffolk County Police test.

The exam, which is only offered once every four years, will be given on June 15, 2019. Registration closes on April 3. There is a $125 non-refundable application processing fee. You can register for the exam online here.

Candidates must be at least 19 years old and younger than 35 years old on the date on the test. Candidates who attain a passing grade on the exam will also have to pass the following qualifying tests and evaluations: medical, personality assessment, polygraph, extensive background check and physical fitness screening.

The starting salary for a Suffolk Police officer is $42,000. It increases incrementally to $111,506 after 12 years of service.
