Second Place Mega Millions Ticket Sold In Medford
Newsday reports winning numbers purchased at 7-Eleven on Route 112.

While no one from Patchogue or Medford will share in the more than half-billion dollar Mega Millions grand prize, there is one local resident that is holding a second place ticket.
According to Newsday, a ticket believed to be worth $250,000 was purchased at the 7-Eleven on Route 112 in Medford.
Carolyn Hapeman, a New York Lottery spokesperson told Newsday that 17 second place tickets were sold across the state.

News reports early Saturday indicated that three winning Mega Millions tickets were sold, one each in Maryland, Illinois and Kansas.
For those that may have missed the drawing, the winning numbers are 2, 4, 23, 38, and 46, with 23 as the Megaball.
