Sisters Assaulted While Walking in Patchogue

Police say it happened early Sunday.

Suffolk Police are investigating an assault in Patchogue that sent two sisters to the hospital.

It happened around 3:40 a.m. Sunday. Police say the sisters, ages 30 and 31, were walking on Railroad Avenue and when an unspecified number of people exited a vehicle, approached them and beat them up.

The sisters were treated at Long Island Community Hospital. No arrests have been made. Police did not release any other information.
