Suffolk Police Probing If Three Armed Robberies Are Related

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Suffolk police are investigating whether three robberies across the county are related, the department's public information office said Monday.

The robberies span from Lake Ronkonkoma to Hauppauge and then Amityville.

In the first robbery, an armed robber swiped cash from Bolla Market in Lake Ronkonkoma at around 1:40 a.m., waived a gun, and demanded cash, police said, adding that the cashier complied and the robber bolted with the cash in a vehicle.

In the second robbery, BP Gas Station on Wheeler Road in Hauppauge was robbed in similar fashion at around 2 a.m.Wheeler Road, police said.

A third robbery took place at 7-Eleven on Merrick Road at around 2:25 a.m., according to police.

No one was injured in either incident.

Detectives across three precincts are investigating the robberies.
