WATCH: Brewery Delivers Beer Via Fire Truck To Coronavirus 'Hero'

Blue Point Brewery's "Toast Your Help" campaign asks Long Islanders to nominate do-gooders they feel deserve a drop-off of beer and food.

PATCHOGUE, NY As part of their "Toast Your Hero" campaign, Blue Point Brewing Company in Patchogue is bringing their fire truck to local residents who are nominated as making a difference during the coronavirus pandemic. Each week the brewery selects one recipient from nominations submitted via social media to get a meal and beer delivery from the truck.

This video shows Ryan Carroll of Carroll's Kitchen happily receiving his delivery on April 9. Carroll created a coalition of out-of-work chefs to create affordable family meals and has been donating meals across Long Island.

On April 2, the first honoree was Maria Kirchner who is an ICU nurse at Mather Hospital. A publicist for Blue Point Brewing Company told Patch that over 100 nominations have come in, ranging from nurses, police officers, EMS, doctors to chefs, firefighters, volunteer coordinators, veterans and more.
