Woman Beaten, Her Necklace Snatched At Nassau Gas Station: Police

She just asked for a U-Haul driver to move so that she could pull her vehicle up to a gas pump when she was attacked, police said.

EAST HILLS, NY — A woman who stopped for gas at Mobil Gas Station in East Hills was beaten and robbed of her necklace Tuesday by three people who sped away in a U-Haul truck, Nassau police said.

Just before 2 p.m., the woman, 36, was trying to move her vehicle up to the gas pump, and asked an unknown female to move her U-Haul truck, but she instead struck her to the ground, at which point two unknown male suspects exited the U-Haul and one of them began to kick, punch, and strike the woman, according to police.

The female then ripped a necklace from the woman’s neck, and all three suspects went inside the U-Haul and sped away, westbound on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road, police said.
