Suffolk Police ID Woman Killed After Toyota Struck By Jeep
UPDATE: The 65-year-old Bohemia woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Suffolk police said.
PATCHOGUE, NY — A 65-year-old Bohemia woman died after her Toyota was struck by a Jeep Thursday afternoon on Medford Avenue in Patchogue, Suffolk police said.
The Jeep was traveling southbound on Medford Avenue and crossed over to the northbound lanes and struck a Toyota Camry, which was driven by Michelle Mallon-Gennarelli, at around 2 p.m., according to police.
Mallon-Gennarelli was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Jeep's driver, a 48-year-old Patchogue man, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.
