1,500 Back-To-School Book Bags Given Out In Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, NY — Children in Peekskill were recently made better prepared for the start of the new school year at a recent event where schools supplies were handed out.

The City of Peekskill Youth Bureau held a Back to School Supply Giveaway Aug. 25 at Pugsley Park in the city.

In preparation for the upcoming school year, 1,500 book bags were distributed to children in the community.

Also, school supplies, courtesy of donations from community partners and various local organizations, were given out.
