911 Call Alerts Police to Drunk Driver Who Gave False Name
A Peekskill man was arrested in Livingston, New York after allegedly driving drunk and then giving a false name.

On Aug. 6 around 3:50 p.m., Columbia County 911 advised New York State Troopers from Livingston of an erratic vehicle in Livingston. The police located the vehicle on ST-82 still being operated in an erratic manner. They initiated a traffic stop and interviewed the driver, who provided a false name. Investigation reveals the driver, later identified as Miguel Plaza, 29, of Smith Street, Peekskill, was determined to be intoxicated by alcohol. Plaza was transported to State Police barracks in Livingston and submitted to a breath test, resulting in a .26% BAC, more than three times the legal limit. He was charged with Aggravated DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, several V&T Violations and False Personation. Plaza was arraigned in the town of Livingston Justice Court and remanded to the Columbia county Jail on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.
