Coles Market and Courtesy Mobil Employees Charged with Selling Alcohol to Minor

Press release from the New York State Police:  The New York State Police in Cortlandt charged two individuals during an Underage Drinking Initiative Enforcement operation in Westchester County.

On March 23, the New York State Police in Cortlandt conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative Enforcement detail in the Cortlandt area. A total of 19 businesses were visited leading to the arrest of two individuals.  One of the individuals charged was Michael Heffernan, a Montrose resident who works at Coles Market. The other individual, Antoinette Lavook, is a Lake Peekskill resident who workes at the Courtesy Mobil at 2072 East Main Street in Cortlandt Manor.

Both were charged with unlawfully selling alcohol to a minor, in violation of the NYS Alcoholic Beverage Control Law, after they unlawfully sold alcohol to a 17 year old minor. The investigation is continuing.
