This is an excellent opportunity for friends and family to enjoy this great activity together. Volunteers should bring a shovel or other bulb planting device, newspaper or tarp to throw dirt on, gloves, water, grocery bag(to carry bulbs in). If a volunteer doesn’t have a shovel there will be extras to share.
Please come dressed comfortably for the weather. The “trail” begins at Riverfront Green near the 9/11 Memorial, meanders along Central Avenue, near the Yellow Brick Road and up through town to the hillside behind Peekskilll High School and out Route 6.
“We are doing this to raise awareness, pride in the community and to spur future events that will celebrate this wonderful time in spring," said Garden Club member Myra Marsocci, co-chairperson with Margaret Hughes of the daffodil trail project. To volunteer or for more information call Marsocci at (914) 528-7859.
