1)      We expect to meet the first Thursday of each month and then “as needed” and as members are available.  We meet at 6:30, hopefully for no more than 2 hours.  “As needed” meetings could be scheduled where Board action is needed before the next monthly meeting.  Following submission by elected and appointed officials of their annual disclosure forms in mid-May, which we are required to review, I expect we would meet a couple of extra evenings to deal with those.

2)      Generally speaking, our responsibilities include reviewing the annual disclosure statements, reviewing sporadic transactional/applicant disclosure statements, addressing requests for advisory opinions from City officials and employees concerning their questions about the Code of Ethics, and investigating alleged Ethics Code violations by City officials/employees.  We can only make recommendations to the “appointing authority” of an official/employee where the Board determines a code violation has occurred.
