
The following was provided by the Peekskill City School District: Peekskill’s boys’ bowling team has won the League championship and moves on to Sectional contests next week. With a powerful group of seniors, Coach Agnes Travis states, “We could go all the way to the State Championships this year.”
All the Peekskill seniors on the team were named All-League: Adam Rivera, Brett Travis, Joseph R. Henry, and Lonnel Beechum.. In addition, Adam Rivera received League third-place honors for high scoring game, high scoring series, and overall average.
According to The Journal News reporter Mike Zacchio, “Peekskill has been virtually unbeatable in the second half of the season, with senior Adam Rivera leading the way with a 203 average and three games of 279 or more.” The Section 1 Tournament will be held Feburary 14 at the Cortlandt lanes.
