Rotary Club Hosts 2012 Open World Team from Ukraine

The Cortlandt Rotary Club is pleased to be hosting the 2012 Open World Team from the Ukraine on March 20, 2012. Established by Congress in 1999, the Open World Program’s purpose is to promote understanding between the United States and countries of Eurasia, to give emerging leaders the opportunity to learn about and experience our political system, business environment and community life.

This program is made available to U.S. Rotary clubs and districts through a grant secured by Rotary International. This year’s team consists of six environmentalists, representing both the government and non-government organizations from the Ukraine.

During their visit, they will be meeting with local politicians, environmental agencies, energy companies and non government organizations.
