The Leos’ Midnight Run

Saturday, October 5 was a very long night for the Leos club. In addition to the midnight run they do every winter, they took an extra trip to New York City late at night, bearing food and clothing for those in need. Everyone was very friendly and grateful for these provisions and made the volunteering seem even more worth it.

This run wasn’t as busy as the ones that take place in the winter because there is less of a need at this time of year, but every participant found it a valuable experience.

“We met a lot of different people and they were all very friendly and kind…it was a great learning experience” says club Vice President, Dylan Gambardella. Balancing out the cold weather that night was the warm feeling of giving and volunteering for an amazing cause, a feeling everyone shared. The midnight run is one of the many giving events the Leos participate in or host every year. Some of the many upcoming activities include pumpkin carving with SPARC and the annual Turkey Bowl. New members are always welcome and encouraged to join in on the fun and inspiring work the Leos Club has lined up.
