Arrest Made In Peekskill Gas Station Robbery: PD
Police said an employee of the gas station was slashed in the face during the robbery.

PEEKSKILL, NY — A Yonkers man was arrested after being accused of robbing a Peekskill gas station and slashing the face of an employee.
The City of Peekskill Police Department said, around 4 a.m. Sunday, officers were sent to the Mobil gas station at 120 Washington St. for a report of a robbery.
When the officers got there, they found a gas station employee who had a cut on his face that happened during the robbery, police said.

Officers said an unknown man got into an argument with the employee and then slashed the employee’s face.
The man then stole more than $1,000 from the store’s cash register before fleeing on foot, according to authorities.

The gas station employee was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley, where he was treated for the cut on his face and released.
Police developed a description of the man, and within minutes, officers tried to stop someone on South Street who matched the description.
The man didn’t stop for the officers and led them on a brief foot chase.
Once he was detained, he was positively ID’d as the person who robbed the gas station and assaulted the employee, police said.
Authorities said the man was Nelson Rosa, 35, of Yonkers.
He was arrested and charged with:
- First-degree robbery, a felony.
- Second-degree assault, a felony.
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony
- Obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor.
- Resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
Police said Rosa was being held pending arraignment in the Peekskill City Court.
