Buchanan Man Charged in Yorktown Police Chase
A 20-year-old Buchanan man and Patterson woman, also 20, are facing marijuana charges following a police chase in Yorktown.

On Aug. 3 police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Route 6, but that vehicle allegedly fled the scene by traveling onto Strawberry Road and Briar Hill Street in "an erratic manner and at a high rate of speed," said.
When the vehicle was stopped, Arthur M. Niebryzdowski, of Buchanan, was identified as the driver, and Hanna L. Dillman, of Patterson, was identified as the passenger. Police said the man and woman were allegedly in possession of marijuana.
Niebryzdowski was charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was also charged with the following traffic violations: passing stop sign, crossing double yellow pavement markings, and two counts of speeding.

Dillman was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Both Niebryzdowski and Dillman were arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. Niebryzdowski was released on $200 bail; Dillman was released on her own recognizance.

Both defendants were scheduled to appear in court on Sept. answer said charges in Yorktown Court on Sept. 4.
