Buchanan Men Arrested for Counterfeit Money
Two young men from Buchanan were charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class C felony, on Dec. 20, for passing a counterfeit twenty dollar bill at several businesses in Peekskill. Peekskill police arrested Jeffery Winters, 22, and Jesse Maxwell, 21, following an investigation into the use counterfeit money.

The investigation, which was conducted with the assistance from the United States Secret Service, included the execution of a search warrant at Winters’ residence in Buchanan. Police found evidence linking Winters and Maxwell to the counterfeit operation. Both Maxwell and Winters were arraigned in Peekskill City Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.

Patrick Allen, 40, of Peekskill, was arrested for allegedly stealing a television set from the Rite Aid pharmacy on Main Street on Dec. 21. He was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor and was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
White Plains Man Arrested for Crack
Ikeem Greenhill, of White Plains, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, on Dec. 21 on Central Avenue in Peekskill.
Greenhill, 19, was picked up by Peekskill police on an outstanding warrant held by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety for failing to appear in court on a Robbery 2nd charge. Incidental to his arrest, officers recovered a quantity of crack cocaine, which was packaged for sale. Greenhill was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
Drunk Driver Hits Tree
On Dec. 22 Juan Aguilar-Perez, 32, of Peekskill, was charged with a DWI after hitting a tree while driving intoxicated around 10:50 p.m. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court and later released on his own recognizance.
