Cell Phone Stop Leads to Drug Charges
A man who was allegedly driving while on the phone, while in possession of drugs, was arrested by Peekskill police.

Tyrone Murrell, a 42-year-old Peekskill man, was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on June 11 at 8:15 p.m. on the 900 block of Constant Ave. Murrell was observed operating a vehicle while speaking on a cell phone and subsequently stopped for the violation. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and cocaine leading to additional charges. Murrell was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
